Unlike other forms of highly attended auto racing, the winning purse at Demolition Derby Races is usually quite small. To provide multiple opportunities for the sponsors logo's to be seen and to maximize donations to charities, the team races within the Midwest to conserve funds and participates in as many races as time and money allow.
The team is a family run team in which many family members and friends are drivers and mechanics. They all donate their time to prepare the cars to provide entertainment at races across the Midwest.
All prize money won by the Schmidt-Riley-Racing Team is donated to charity. The team also donates any money that is in excess of the sponsor funds required to race at the end of the race season.
